Ashtongue Deathsworn is a Burning Crusade reputation tied to Akama's faction within the Black Temple, earned by completing attunement quest chains in Shadowmoon Valley and clearing the Black Temple raid.

Complete SMV Quest Chains

Start the attunement quest chain in Shadowmoon Valley. Aldor players begin with Anchorite Ceyla at the Altar of Sha'tar, while Scryer players begin with Arcanist Thelis at the Sanctum of Stars. Both paths progress through Tablets of Baa'ri, Oronu the Elder, The Ashtongue Corruptors, and The Warden's Cage before merging into a shared chain.

Finish the Shared Quest Chain

After the faction-specific steps merge, complete Proof of Allegiance, Akama, Seer Udalo (found in the Arcatraz), A Mysterious Portent, The Ata'mal Terrace, and Akama's Promise to earn the Blessed Medallion of Karabor and unlock access to Black Temple.

Clear Black Temple for Rep

A full clear of the Black Temple raid yields approximately 8, 200 reputation. Enter the raid and defeat all bosses to maximize rep gains per lockout.

Grind Sewers Without Naj'entus

For faster grinding, clear the trash in the sewers leading up to High Warlord Naj'entus, which yields 500 to 700 reputation per run. Leave Naj'entus alive, exit the instance, reset it, and repeat — this loop can be done indefinitely and takes roughly 30 minutes per run.

Tips

  • The sewer trash loop (resetting before killing Naj'entus) is the fastest repeatable rep method if a full raid clear is not possible each week.

  • Large packs of naga near the entrance and just before Naj'entus can be skipped if needed during solo runs.
