Choose Your Character
Low-level characters work for this — a level 40 Chromie Time character using a Personal Key to the Arcantina can fly and find one, or a level 53 alt can use the Housing neighbourhood portal to Silvermoon City and fly from there. Be aware that level 80 rares in the area will kill lower-level characters on sight.
Head to Isle of Quel'Danas
Fly to the Isle of Quel'Danas and check the main pavilion building just west of Magister's Terrace near the north coast docks at 49, 22.6. Additional spawn locations include at 44.47, 27.93, at 43, 14, at 31, 23, at 42, 32, at 51, 31, at 34, 14, at 34, 37, and at 48.02, 23.92.
Use a Targeting Macro
Use a targeting macro with /tar Nether Familiar and /tar Wrathful Wyrm while flying overhead, as it will spot the pet faster than manual searching. Some players have reported capturing nearby Nether Familiars in hopes of triggering a Wrathful Wyrm spawn, though whether this affects spawns is unconfirmed by multiple players — the respawn timer appears to be around 5 to 10 minutes.
Capture the Wrathful Wyrm
The Wrathful Wyrm has been found at Rare quality — one confirmed catch was in the gravel between a statue and the path leading toward the bridge at 45, 27. Both the Wrathful Wyrm and the Nether Familiar have been spotted at the same locations.
Purchase from Construct V'anore
If you prefer an alternative route, visit Construct V'anore at 55.8, 65.8 in Silvermoon City, who may offer the Wrathful Wyrm for purchase.
Tips
Spawn points are limited and the respawn timer is approximately 5 to 10 minutes, so cycling through all known coordinates is more effective than waiting at a single spot.
