Battle Pet· MidnightDISCOVERYBeast type
Discovery

Source: Discovery. This small cub has been influenced by constant storms on Siren Isle. Just petting it's soft fur sends static shocks across your hand. Beast type. this cutie dropped for me after roughly 50-75 kills on Stormtouched Pridetalon. ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗ I suggest bringing this as they make it incredibly easy to reach the Pridetalon's.

The Crackleroar is a storm-influenced lion cub obtained on Siren Isle by farming Stormtouched Pridetalon or the rare Tempest Talon during the storm event.

Guide awaiting review

1

Purchase Experimental Go-Pack

Buy the Experimental Go-Pack from Sally Boltwrench at 63.6, 66.6 on Siren Isle to help you move around the farming areas. Purchase a few, as the buff has a one-hour timer and requires the storm to not be active, or while you have the quest buff active.

2

Enable the Storm Event

Talk to Suzie Boltwrench to activate the storm event, which causes Stormtouched Pridetalon and the rare Tempest Talon to spawn on Siren Isle.

3

Farm Stormtouched Pridetalon

Head to the mountain peaks north of Deadfin Mire and northeast of Ghoststone Diggings, where a cluster of 7 Stormtouched Pridetalon spawn — 4 on the ground and 3 flying. You can camp this spot and use realm-hopping groups to continuously kill them without waiting for respawns. Players have reported receiving Crackleroar around the 196th kill, taking roughly 25 minutes with this method.

4

Kill Tempest Talon Optionally

Tempest Talon also drops Crackleroar and can be found near Deadfin Mire at 41.89, 60.04 on Siren Isle. Be aware that Tempest Talon is significantly harder to fight than the Pridetalons and can knock you off ledges, risking a fatal fall.

5

Clear Both Spawn Areas

If you prefer to cover both spawn clusters, start at one area near 54.15, 23.5, clear all the Pridetalons, then use the Experimental Go-Pack to float across to the second area. The timing between the two spawns lines up well enough to keep kills consistent.

Tips

  • Realm-hopping with groups allows you to kill Stormtouched Pridetalon continuously without waiting for respawns, making the mountain camp the fastest known farming method.

  • Avoid fighting Tempest Talon near cliff edges since being knocked off results in fall damage or death.
