Acquisition Guide

The Vicious War Spider is an Alliance-only PVP mount introduced in Shadowlands Season 1, earned by accumulating 2400 progress points through rated PVP wins.

Reach 1000 Rating

Queue for rated PVP (2v2 arena, 3v3 arena, or 10v10 rated battlegrounds) and reach at least 1000 rating in any of the three formats. Once you hit 1000 rating, you cannot lose rating below that threshold, and your progress toward the mount will begin counting with each win.

Accumulate 2400 Progress Points

Win rated matches to fill the 2400-point progress bar (100%). Each win awards points based on format: 2v2 awards 10 points per win (240 wins total), 3v3 awards 30 points per win (80 wins total), and rated battlegrounds award 60 points per win (40 wins total). Note that your 1000 rating must be earned within the specific format you intend to gain progress in — a 1000 rating in rated battlegrounds does not unlock progress in 3v3 arena.

Check Your Progress

Track your mount progress at any time by running this macro in chat: /run local criteriaString, criteriaType, completed, quantity, reqQuantity, charName, flags, assetID, quantityString = GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(14612, 1); print('Progress:' ,quantity,' out of ',reqQuantity)

Claim Mount from Necrolord Sipe

Once your progress bar reaches 100%, visit Necrolord Sipe at 76.8, 65.4 in Stormwind City to collect your Vicious War Spider mount.

Tips

Rated battlegrounds are the most efficient path at 60 points per win, requiring only 40 wins to complete the bar compared to 240 wins in 2v2.
