Acquisition Guide

The Vibrant Petalwing is a mount that drops from rare creatures in Harandar in the Midnight expansion.

1

Skip Intro on Alts

When starting the Midnight campaign on an alt, choose the skip option at Liadrin to bypass the intro. This immediately unlocks portals to both Voidstorm and Harandar, allowing you to begin farming rares as soon as you port into Silvermoon without completing any additional questing.

2

Farm Harandar Rares

The Vibrant Petalwing can drop from rares in Harandar, including Rhazul ( Grimfang Shank), Ha'kalawe ( Ha'kalawe's Flawless Wing), Queen Lashtongue ( Ironleaf Wristguards), Stumpy ( Stumpy's Stump), Mindrot ( Mindrot Claw-Hammer), Treetop ( Bloombark Spaulders), Pterrock ( Rockscale Hood), Annulus the Worldshaker ( Fungal Cap Guard), and Chironex ( Translucent Membrane Slippers). Rares in Voidstorm have also been confirmed to drop the mount.

3

Understand the Drop Rate

The drop rate for the Vibrant Petalwing is approximately 0.1% or lower from some rares, meaning it can take hundreds or even thousands of kills across all rare spawns before seeing a drop. Running the circuit across multiple alts is the most efficient way to accumulate kills.

Tips

  • The Vibrant Petalwing is a warbound item, meaning it can be used by any character on your account once it drops.

  • You can freely fly between Eversong Woods and Zul'aman, which helps when rotating between alts during a farming session.
