Sapphire Riverbeast

This animal's color mimics the clear blue of Draenor's river shallows, making it almost invisible to aquatic predators.

Acquisition Guide

TomTom waypoints(3)

The Sapphire Riverbeast is a blue riverbeast mount obtained by killing Silthide, a rare spawn found in Talador.

1

Travel to Talador

Head to Talador and locate Silthide, who has two known spawn points: at 54.8, 81.2 and at 67.8, 59.4. One confirmed spawn location is just south of Auchindoun in the water near 54, 82.

2

Wait for Silthide's Respawn

Silthide has a long respawn timer — one recorded spawn gap on the Zul'jin server was nearly 29 hours. Server resets can influence when Silthide appears, so checking after a reset is worthwhile.

3

Kill Silthide for Mount

Defeat Silthide at either spawn location. All players who participate in the kill receive the Sapphire Riverbeast, as Silthide has a 100% drop chance for every participant. The mount is unbound and can be traded or sold on the Auction House if you obtain a spare.

Tips

  • Silthide is one of six rare spawns in Warlords of Draenor that award their mount to every player involved in the kill, so there is no need to compete with others — coordinate with fellow players to share the spawn location.
