Acquisition Guide

The Sanctum Gloomcharger is a purple-flamed charger mount that drops from The Nine in the Sanctum of Domination raid.

Travel to Oribos

To queue for LFR, find the NPC Ta'elfar in Oribos. Take the portal into the covenant room and turn right — Ta'elfar is on the bottom right steps.

Queue for LFR Wing

Queue for the LFR wing called 'The Jailer's Vanguard' through Ta'elfar, then defeat The Nine to have a chance at the Sanctum Gloomcharger's Reins dropping directly into your inventory.

Farm All Difficulties Weekly

The mount is farmable on LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulty, once per character per week on each difficulty. For Normal and Heroic, you can obtain a lockout on a character and extend it weekly to farm The Nine repeatedly, and after killing The Nine you can zone out and switch difficulty to attempt another version.

Tips

The mount is a personal loot drop, so running with other players does not reduce your own chances of receiving it.
There are four charger mounts with different flame colors added in Patch 9.1 — the Sanctum Gloomcharger with purple flames specifically drops from The Nine in Sanctum of Domination, and is not a guaranteed drop.
