Acquisition Guide

The Pureblood Fire Hawk is a mount that drops from Ragnaros in the Firelands raid, with a 100% drop rate on Heroic difficulty.

Enter Firelands Raid

Travel to the Firelands raid entrance in Mount Hyjal and enter on Heroic difficulty, where Ragnaros has a 100% chance to drop the Pureblood Fire Hawk.

Run straight to Alysrazor's area without aggroing any mobs, then clear the trash: the two piles of eggs, the adds in the middle, and the two flaming chickens.

Trigger Majordomo's Event

Walk over to Majordomo and go around him to trigger his speech, then wait for Alysrazor to spawn — do not engage Alysrazor, just let the feathers drop to the ground.

Use Feathers to Fly

Pick up 3 feathers from the ground to gain the flying buff, then fly directly toward Sulfuron Keep, which is slightly to the left of where Alysrazor spawned.

Defeat Ragnaros on Heroic

Once inside Sulfuron Keep, defeat Ragnaros on Heroic difficulty to receive the Pureblood Fire Hawk as a guaranteed drop.

Tips

The Pureblood Fire Hawk only has its 100% drop rate on Heroic difficulty — Normal difficulty does not guarantee the mount.
