Acquisition Guide

The Jade Cloud Serpent is a quest reward obtained in The Jade Forest by raising a Green Serpent Egg through the Order of the Cloud Serpent.

1

Visit Elder Anli at the Arboretum

Head to the Arboretum in The Jade Forest and speak with Elder Anli to receive the quest Wild Things, which begins the Cloud Serpent questline.

2

Complete Windward Isle Quests

Travel to Windward Isle and find Instructor Tong, who will give you three quests: Beating the Odds, Empty Nests, and Egg Collection.

3

Choose the Green Serpent Egg

After completing Instructor Tong's quests, you will be allowed to choose an egg — select the Green Serpent Egg to receive the Reins of the Jade Cloud Serpent. You may change your egg colour before handing in the quest Choosing the One.

4

Return to the Arboretum

Bring your Green Serpent Egg back to the Arboretum and pick up The Rider's Journey to complete the quest It's A..., which unlocks your hatchling and continues your serpent's growth.

5

Purchase Cloud Serpent Riding Skill

Once you have earned the required reputation, visit San Redscale at 56.6, 44.4 in The Jade Forest to purchase the Cloud Serpent Riding skill, which is required to ride the Jade Cloud Serpent and is character-specific.

Tips

  • The Jade Cloud Serpent mount is account-wide, but the Cloud Serpent Riding skill is character-specific — each character must meet the faction requirement to use the mount.

  • See the video guides for a visual walkthrough of the Cloud Serpent questline and what the Jade Cloud Serpent looks like in action.
