The Reins of the Green Proto-Drake is a rare reward looted from a Cracked Egg, which hatches from a Mysterious Egg purchased from the Oracles faction in Sholazar Basin after reaching Revered reputation.

Reach Revered with Oracles

Complete quests and activities for the Oracles faction in Sholazar Basin until you reach Revered reputation — this is the minimum standing required to access their vendor.

Purchase the Mysterious Egg

Buy a Mysterious Egg from the Oracles vendor for just over two and a half gold. The egg hatches into a Cracked Egg after seven days.

Loot the Cracked Egg

After seven days, right-click the Cracked Egg in your inventory to loot it. The Reins of the Green Proto-Drake is one of the possible rewards inside.

Tips

You can obtain this mount at Revered reputation — reaching Exalted does not affect the drop.
The Reins of the Green Proto-Drake can drop more than once from subsequent eggs, though duplicates will appear as Already Known.
This mount can be obtained on any character that has access to the Oracles vendor, regardless of riding skill level.
