Acquisition Guide

The Reins of the Green Proto-Drake is a rare reward looted from a Cracked Egg, which hatches from a Mysterious Egg purchased from the Oracles faction in Sholazar Basin after reaching Revered reputation.

1

Reach Revered with Oracles

Complete quests and activities for the Oracles faction in Sholazar Basin until you reach Revered reputation — this is the minimum standing required to access their vendor.

2

Purchase the Mysterious Egg

Buy a Mysterious Egg from the Oracles vendor for just over two and a half gold. The egg hatches into a Cracked Egg after seven days.

3

Loot the Cracked Egg

After seven days, right-click the Cracked Egg in your inventory to loot it. The Reins of the Green Proto-Drake is one of the possible rewards inside.

Tips

  • You can obtain this mount at Revered reputation — reaching Exalted does not affect the drop.

  • The Reins of the Green Proto-Drake can drop more than once from subsequent eggs, though duplicates will appear as Already Known.

  • This mount can be obtained on any character that has access to the Oracles vendor, regardless of riding skill level.
