Drake of the South Wind

Acquisition Guide
The Drake of the South Wind is a rare mount that drops from Al'Akir in the Throne of the Four Winds raid, available on all four difficulties.
Enter Throne of the Four Winds
Travel to the Throne of the Four Winds raid in Uldum and enter on any difficulty: 10-Man Normal, 10-Man Heroic, 25-Man Normal, or 25-Man Heroic.
Defeat Al'Akir
Fight through the raid and defeat Al'Akir, the final boss. As a Cataclysm-era raid, you can solo this at max level.
Loot the Mount
The Reins of the Drake of the South Wind has approximately a 1% drop rate on 10-Man difficulties and approximately 3% on 25-Man difficulties, so running the 25-Man version each week offers a higher per-kill drop chance.
Tips
The 25-Man version of the raid has a higher drop rate (~3%) compared to 10-Man (~1%), making it the more efficient version to run weekly.
