Crested Aqua Leafmimic
The aqua leafmimic is a rare sight indeed. Found only in the forests of Ashenvale, its darkened scales allow it to hide among the trees and groves undetected.
Acquisition Guide
Crested Aqua Leafmimic is officially announced for the September 2026 Trading Post rotation. It is a large crested leafmimic reptile with aqua-blue scales and leaf-shaped camouflage fins. It will be a catalog purchase costing exactly 500 Trader's Tender. Until the September catalog opens, the mount cannot be claimed early even though its collection entry is already visible.
Wait for the September rotation
Open the Traveler's Log only after the in-game Trading Post has changed to September 2026, then verify that it names “Crested Aqua Leafmimic.” An announcement and an early Mount Journal row do not make the reward available during August.
Visit a Trading Post
Use Tawney and Wilder's Trading Post outside Stormwind's Mage District, Zen'shiri beside Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar, or the Trading Post representatives in Dornogal or Silvermoon City. Open the Collector's Cache to collect any available monthly Tender before using the catalog.
Reserve 500 Trader's Tender
Keep at least 500 Trader's Tender, select the exact “Crested Aqua Leafmimic” entry in September's catalog, and compare its color before confirming the purchase. The Aqua and Verdant Leafmimics are separate 500-Tender items, so buying one does not unlock the other.
Purchase or freeze it
Buy Crested Aqua Leafmimic for 500 Trader's Tender during September. If you cannot afford it, place this exact item in the single freeze slot before the rotation ends; a frozen catalog item can remain available in a later month.
Verify the exact variant
Search Collections → Mounts for “Crested Aqua Leafmimic” and confirm that it is marked Collected. It is a large crested leafmimic reptile with aqua-blue scales and leaf-shaped camouflage fins. Relog once if the Trading Post says Owned but the Mount Journal has not refreshed.
Tips
Both announced catalog Leafmimics cost 500 Trader's Tender apiece, or 1,000 total if you want both.
The freeze slot holds one item only; double-check the Aqua or Verdant color before replacing an existing frozen item.
