Acquisition Guide

The Cobalt Shalewing is a mount that drops from Karokta, a rare spawn located in Zaralek Cavern.

Travel to Karokta

Head to Zaralek Cavern and find Karokta at 42.56, 65.72. This rare spawn is the only source of the Cobalt Shalewing mount.

Defeat Karokta

Kill Karokta at 42.56, 65.72 in Zaralek Cavern. The mount is personal loot and cannot be traded to other players if it drops for you.

Repeat kills if needed

The drop rate is estimated to be somewhere between 1–3%, and Blizzard hotfixed the drop rate on June 8th to bring it in line with other similar rare drops in Dragonflight. Characters at level 60 and above are able to loot the mount.

Tips

The mount journal lists the NPC's name as 'Kairoktra', but the in-game NPC at 42.56, 65.72 in Zaralek Cavern does not have the 'i' in its name — both refer to the same rare.
