Cobalt Dragonhawk
A rare breed of Dragonhawk that soars the Thalassian skies on azure wings after having escaped from the Sunwing Rookery.
Acquisition Guide
The
Cobalt Dragonhawk is a world drop mount obtained by killing rare creatures in Eversong Woods in the Midnight expansion.
Unlock Eversong Woods Access
On alts that have completed the main campaign, choose the skip option at Liadrin to bypass the intro and jump straight into the new zones. This immediately unlocks portals to both Voidstorm and Harandar, letting you fly freely in Eversong Woods.
Farm Eversong Rare Creatures
Kill the rare creatures spread across Eversong Woods, including those in the Voidstorm area. The drop rate sits at approximately 0.3%, so expect a significant number of kills before the mount appears.
Multiply Attempts With Alts
Run multiple characters through Eversong Woods daily, using server hopping and War Mode toggling to find rare spawns more frequently. Rare respawn timers range from 15 to 45 minutes, so rotating alts across servers helps sustain consistent kill volume.
Buy From Another Player
Because the Cobalt Dragonhawk is a world drop, it can be traded and listed on the Auction House by other players — this is a viable alternative if farming the rares directly proves too time-consuming.
Tips
At roughly 0.3% drop rate across 14 rares in Eversong Woods, hitting 800 or more total rare kills before seeing the mount is within the expected range.
