Void-Scarred Windrider
When the void energies were released, it drove most windriders feral. They killed each other and their trainers. The gates to their roost were locked by the survivors. Some surviving windriders can still be seen gliding above, but none dare return to their new deadly domain to see what remains.
Acquisition Guide
The Void-Scarred Windrider is obtained by defeating a rare elite spawn in the Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar while wearing at least two masks.
Equip Two Corruption Masks
Before entering the Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar, equip at least two masks. Confirmed working masks include Nemesis and Dark Imagination.
Clear Valley of Wisdom
Inside the vision, complete the objective in the Valley of Wisdom — the hardest section on the left or upper portion of the map. Defeating the Coagulated Horror here unlocks the elevator you need.
Take the Elevator Up
After clearing the Valley of Wisdom, find the elevator at 49.15, 50.66 — it is up the ramp to the right side of the area where you defeated the Coagulated Horror. Take it to the top level.
Kill Wyvern Waves
Head south toward the wind rider area at 48.7, 54.89 and defeat all incoming waves of wyverns. After enough waves, a rare elite will spawn — kill it for a chance at the Void-Scarred Windrider.
Purchase from Matriarch
The mount can also be purchased from the Void-Scarred Wyvern Matriarch at 48.2, 53.2 in the Vision of Orgrimmar.
Tips
The Void-Scarred Windrider appears to drop for only one person per group per kill, similar to the Void-Scarred Pack Mother mount.
Do not leave the Valley of Wisdom to search for the elevator — it is located within that same area.
