Ol' Mole Rufus
Wiser than words can say and still quick on his feet. He just gets a lil' tired sometimes.
Acquisition Guide
Ol' Mole Rufus is a mount modeled after the Star-Nosed Mole — notable for its 22 nasal appendages — and is obtained from the Regurgitated Mole Reins dropped by Lurker of the Deeps, a rare spawn in The Ringing Deeps.
Activate All Five Levers
Locate and activate all five levers spread across The Ringing Deeps: Lever 1 at 61.02, 76.79; Lever 2 at 49.2, 8.8; Lever 3 at 53.91, 25.28; Lever 4 at 57.62, 23.57; and Lever 5 at 62.83, 44.64. All five must be activated at the same time to trigger the spawn sequence.
Watch for Chat Message
Once all five levers are successfully activated simultaneously, a chat message will appear indicating that something is starting to rain in a nearby lake, signaling that Lurker of the Deeps is about to spawn in the western part of the zone.
Travel to Lurker of the Deeps
Lurker of the Deeps takes some time to fully appear after the trigger, giving players time to fly to the spawn area. Head to Lurker of the Deeps at 56.8, 76.6 in The Ringing Deeps and engage the rare.
Loot Regurgitated Mole Reins
Defeat Lurker of the Deeps and loot the Regurgitated Mole Reins. This drop is available to players below level 80, including characters as low as level 70, and can be looted again on a character that has already obtained it previously.
Tips
The drop rate is estimated at around 2%, and full raids have consistently seen 2–3 drops per kill, so joining a raid group rather than soloing increases the number of loot rolls available.
Lurker of the Deeps can respawn frequently, with groups forming every few minutes during active farming periods.
