Join the Mereldar Fishing Derby
Participate in the Mereldar Fishing Derby while the Derby Dash event is active. You do not need to catch all required fish within a single one-hour session — catches made across multiple Derby Dash weekends count toward the achievement.
Catch all Derby fish
Fish up all the required species during active Derby Dash sessions. The Specular Rainbowfish can take the most attempts across multiple glimmerpools, while the Awoken Coelacanth can be caught in under five minutes by heading into spiderland with 10 Whispering Stargazer, as long as the derby buff is active — you do not need it to be a designated derby target fish.
Optimize fishing with buffs
A fishing skill of 251 before buffs is sufficient to complete The Derby Dash with time to spare. Useful consumables include Ghoulfish Perception for 15 perception, Goldengill Blessing for 45 perception, Ghoulfish Delight for 30 fishing skill, and Whispering Stargazer stacks for Coelacanth fishing. Gear such as a Bismuth Fisherfriend, Weaverline, Anglerthread, and Seekerthread further improves your results.
