Nesting Swarmite
Burrowers by nature they often lurk in small animal warrens when laying eggs or lying in wait to surprise larger prey.
Acquisition Guide
The Nesting Swarmite is a mount from The War Within that drops from the Nesting Swarmite rare enemy, which spawns from trash piles inside the Stormwind scenario.
Enter Stormwind Scenario
Start by heading to the Cathedral trash pile at 55.8, 49.3 in Stormwind. This is the fastest location to farm since it is just inside the entrance to the right, making repeated runs very quick.
Click Trash Pile
Interact with the trash pile at the Cathedral at 55.8, 49.3 and watch for the Nesting Swarmite rare to spawn. If it does not appear, exit the scenario using the macro /script C_PartyInfo.LeaveParty() and repeat this step.
Kill and Loot Rare
When the Nesting Swarmite rare spawns, kill it and loot it to receive the mount. The rare can be found at 55.8, 49.2 when it appears in Stormwind.
Try Orgrimmar Trash Piles
Alternatively, farm trash piles across Orgrimmar: Valley of Strength at 47.75, 74.99, Valley of Spirits at 40.74, 79.26, Valley of Wisdom at 50.85, 45.18, The Drag at 57.49, 60.62, and Valley of Honor at 69.04, 49.75. Note that the trash pile inside Gotri's Traveling Gear shop in The Drag at 57.49, 60.62 is smaller than the others and easy to miss.
Tips
This mount can drop on zero masks, making maskless runs a valid and easier farming option.
One player reported that equipping one mask (Dark Imagination) after several maskless dry runs resulted in the mount dropping on the second run with that mask active.
