Alunira
For so long, the very embodiment of the clouds laid trapped atop a mountain of lightning. And at last, I can feel the wind at my back once again.
Acquisition Guide
Alunira
is a mount that drops from the rare spawn Alunira on the Isle of Dorn, which becomes vulnerable only after you use a crafted Storm Vessel on her.
Farm Crackling Shards
Kill any mobs on the Isle of Dorn to collect
Crackling Shards, which have a low drop rate from general mobs. The mushroom mobs at The Orecreg at 34, 75 and the fast-spawning elementals on the beach at 31, 76 are efficient farming spots.
Combine Ten Shards
Once you have collected ten Crackling Shards, combine them to create a
Storm Vessel. The drop rate is painfully low — one player reported roughly 2,500 mobs killed over five to six hours to gather all ten shards.
Locate Alunira
Find Alunira at 23.18, 58.45 on the Isle of Dorn. She cannot be damaged until her shield is broken, so use your Storm Vessel on her to make her vulnerable before attacking.
Loot Your Mount
Defeat Alunira and loot your mount. The mount is Warbound, meaning it can be shared between your characters. If multiple players each have their own Storm Vessel, each eligible player who used their own vessel can receive the mount from the same kill.
Tips
Do not kill Alunira in a group before using your own Storm Vessel — if you loot the rare through someone else's vessel first, you will be flagged as having already looted her that day and your own Storm Vessel kill will drop nothing.
If you previously lost your mount due to the daily loot lockout bug, you can still loot the mount on a future day by waiting at Alunira at 23.18, 58.45 and joining a kill where another player uses their Storm Vessel.
