Ivory Trader's Ottuk
No adult knows why some ottuks are white, but any tuskarr child can tell you: it's because they eat too much snow.
Acquisition Guide
The Ivory Trader's Ottuk is a vendor mount sold by Tattukiaka in The Azure Span, requiring three specific dungeon rings as currency.
Collect Three Dungeon Rings
Gather one ring from The Raging Tempest (2nd boss), one ring from Leymor (1st boss) in The Azure Vault, and one ring from Vexamus (1st boss) in Algeth'ar Academy. Rings can be from any difficulty and any item level, and can be mixed across Normal, Heroic, and Mythic — you can even farm them during leveling via Normal difficulty. The Algeth'ar Academy ring can also be chosen as a quest reward from that dungeon.
Purchase From Tattukiaka
Bring your three rings to Tattukiaka at 14, 49.6 in The Azure Span and purchase the Ivory Trader's Ottuk. Important: the vendor takes rings you have equipped, so unequip any rings you want to keep before trading. To protect high item level rings, sell them to Tattukiaka first, buy the mount, then immediately buy them back — sold items can be restored or bought back, but rings traded directly into the vendor for the mount will be returned at around item level 250 if you attempt to get them back.
Tips
Follower dungeons on Normal difficulty drop the required rings at the same rate as standard Normal dungeons, letting you farm solo by queueing, skipping to the relevant boss, and requeuing.
This mount has increased swim speed.
