Acquisition Guide

The Colossal Plaguespew Mawrat is a mount obtained as a drop from Rhuv, Gorger of Ruin in Zereth Mortis, accessible only after triggering a rare spawn chain with multiple layers of RNG.

Kill Rares in Zereth Mortis

Travel to Zereth Mortis and kill rares throughout the zone. Each rare kill has roughly a 1% chance of triggering one of the Dune Dominance rares to spawn, and there is a one-in-three chance that the spawning rare will be Iska, Outrider of Ruin.

Tag Rhuv, Gorger of Ruin

When the encounter begins, prioritize tagging Rhuv, Gorger of Ruin at 63.2, 25.4 in Zereth Mortis. Despite the mount being called Iska's Mawrat Leash, it drops exclusively from Rhuv's loot table — not from Iska, Outrider of Ruin — so you must land a hit on Rhuv to be eligible for the loot.

Loot Rhuv Immediately

Loot Rhuv's corpse the moment it dies, before moving on to Iska. If Rhuv's corpse sparkles, it means Iska's Mawrat Leash is available to loot. Rhuv's corpse can despawn before Iska dies, and if you miss the loot window, the mount will not arrive in the mail.

Tips

  • Rhuv only has the mount on his loot table, so a sparkle on his corpse is a reliable indicator that the mount is yours to claim.

  • Zone activity — including quests, rares, dailies, puzzles, and chests — appears to influence Iska's spawn rate rather than any single specific rare.
