The Prototype Leaper is a Protoform Synthesis mount from Shadowlands, crafted at the Synthesis Forge in Zereth Mortis after you locate and learn the Schematic: Prototype Leaper.
Reach the Schematic Location
The Schematic: Prototype Leaper is found atop the Untamed Verdure mountains in Zereth Mortis at 66.96, 69.41. To reach it, begin at 63.38, 73.19 and follow the climbing path through 63.7, 73.77, then 65.82, 70.75, then 66.13, 70.37, then 66.09, 69.83, then 66.09, 68.74, then 66.06, 68.47, arriving at the schematic at 66.96, 69.41.
Access the Schematic
You can reach the top of the mountain by using the Venthyr ability Door of Shadows, by unlocking flying in Zereth Mortis, or by waiting for the Frog'it daily quest and collecting the schematic while on that quest. The schematic may appear as a ground object or inside a Forgotten Proto-Vault Treasure nearby.
Gather the Required Reagents
Before heading to the forge, collect 350 Genesis Motes (dropped by mobs throughout Zereth Mortis), 1 Tools of Incomprehensible Experimentation (dropped by Enhanced Avian mobs), and 1 Bufonid Lattice (dropped by bufonid mobs such as Accelerated Bufonid, or purchasable from the Auction House).
Craft at the Synthesis Forge
Bring your schematic and all reagents to the Synthesis Forge, entered at 61.2, 58.9 in Zereth Mortis, and use Protoform Synthesis to craft the Prototype Leaper mount.
