Patient Bufonid
Some bufonids will sit perfectly still for hours or days at a time if left to their own devices. Fortunately, they're also quite agreeable if a rider would like to move more often than that.
Acquisition Guide
The Patient Bufonid is earned by completing a seven-step daily quest chain called The Burrowed Bufonid, obtained from Avna in Haven, Zereth Mortis.
Unlock Avna's Quest Chain
Complete the first chapter of the Zereth Mortis campaign, then speak to Avna at 34.34, 65.89 in Haven to pick up the first quest in The Burrowed Bufonid chain.
Day 1: Collect Vespoid Honey
Gather 15x 
Vespoid Honey by killing any Vespoid creatures in Zereth Mortis, including small wasps near 62, 55, then return to Avna at 34.34, 65.89 to turn it in.
Day 2: Deliver Tenebrous Ribs
Collect 30x 
Tenebrous Ribs by killing Beast creatures near 52.6, 43.4 in Zereth Mortis, or purchase them from the Auction House, then return to Avna at 34.34, 65.89.
Day 3: Deliver Shrouded Cloth
Bring 200x 
Shrouded Cloth to Avna at 34.34, 65.89 — it drops from Humanoid creatures or can be purchased from the Auction House.
Day 4: Deliver Elysian Thade
Hand in 10x 
Elysian Thade to Avna at 34.34, 65.89 — fish for them anywhere in Shadowlands (the drop rate in Zereth Mortis itself is low), or buy them from the Auction House.
Day 5: Deliver Protoflesh
Collect 5x 
Protoflesh, which drops from most mobs in Zereth Mortis, then turn it in to Avna at 34.34, 65.89.
Complete Remaining Daily Quests
Continue picking up and turning in the remaining quests from Avna at 34.34, 65.89 each day after the daily reset — the 7th quest requires access to the dungeon Tazavesh, the Veiled Market, which you can enter solo.
Claim the Patient Bufonid Mount
After completing the 7th quest, the Patient Bufonid will jump out of the water and Avna at 34.34, 65.89 will immediately offer a final quest, which rewards you with the Patient Bufonid mount.
Tips
You do not need to complete the seven quests on consecutive days — taking days off between turn-ins does not disqualify you from the reward.
You can gather all required items in advance and stockpile them before starting the chain, turning them in each day without needing to farm again — all items are available on the Auction House.
