Acquisition Guide
The Genesis Crawler is a mount crafted via Protoform Synthesis in Zereth Mortis, requiring you to first unlock the forge, then locate the schematic, and gather three specific materials.
Unlock Protoform Synthesis
Complete the first three chapters of the Secrets of the First Ones campaign, then unlock the Sopranian Understanding power at the cypher console in Exile's Hollow. This will make the quest Finding Tahli appear on your map — complete it, and the following day the quest The Lost Component becomes available, which leads to fully unlocking Protoform Synthesis.
Grab the Genesis Crawler Schematic
Head to Exile's Hollow and find the Schematic: Genesis Crawler at 31.48, 50.42 — it is located on top of an archway, on the top left of the vestibule rather than inside it. If it is not there, it was recently looted by another player and will respawn shortly.
Gather the Three Materials
You need 400x Genesis Mote, which drop from nearly every enemy in Zereth Mortis; 1x Bauble of Pure Innovation, which spawns on a dog bed inside the Exile's Hollow cave; and 1x Tarachnid Lattice, which is available from the Auction House. The Bauble of Pure Innovation and Tarachnid Lattice can be found near 70, 28.6.
Craft at the Forge
Bring all three materials to the Protoform Synthesis Forge at 31.5, 50.3 in Zereth Mortis and craft your Genesis Crawler.
Tips
The Tarachnid Lattice is available on the Auction House, so you can acquire it without farming.
Genesis Motes drop from nearly every enemy in Zereth Mortis, making them straightforward to farm while completing other activities in the zone.
