Red-colored vombata are considered lucky by the Enlightened. It was a red vombata that was present when they first arrived in Zereth Mortis.
Acquisition Guide
The Adorned Vombata is a mount crafted via Protoform Synthesis in Zereth Mortis, requiring a schematic obtained from a hidden treasure, plus farmed materials including Genesis Motes and a Vombata Lattice.
Start the Quest Chain
Complete the quest chain beginning with Finding Tahli, then return the following day to complete the follow-up chain starting with The Lost Component.
Unlock the Treasure Location
To make the Grateful Boon treasure appear at 37.15, 78.28, you must pet all 12 agitated automa wildlife on top of the mountain: 5 Agitated Vombata, 4 Agitated Cervid, and 3 Agitated Lupine. The animals roam around and will stop moving once you successfully cast the pet interaction on each one.
Reach the Mountain Without Flying
If you have not yet unlocked flying in Zereth Mortis, use Door of Shadows or a similar teleport ability to navigate up. Start from the Cradle of Nascence closest vault entrance and follow these steps: climb on top of the triangle entrance ark at 40.57, 75.49, then proceed to 39.56, 76.53, then 39.57, 76.66, then 39.61, 77.69, then 40.09, 78.08, and finally reach the treasure area at 37.15, 78.28. Two of the animals are in hard-to-reach spots and also require Door of Shadows to access.
Loot the Schematic
Once all 12 animals have been calmed, Tah Fen will make the Grateful Boon treasure appear at 37.15, 78.28. Open it to obtain Schematic: Adorned Vombata, then turn in Schematic Reassimilation: Adorned Vombata.
Farm the Vombata Lattice
Farm Vombata Lattice from Mawtouched Bull or other large proto-vombata enemies in Zereth Mortis.
Purchase the Lens
Purchase the Lens of Focused Intention from Vilo in Haven.
Farm Genesis Motes
Farm Genesis Motes by killing most minor and smaller mobs throughout Zereth Mortis.
Craft the Mount
With all materials gathered — the schematic, Vombata Lattice, Lens of Focused Intention, and Genesis Motes — use Protoform Synthesis to craft the Adorned Vombata mount.
Tips
If you open the Grateful Boon treasure before completing the required research and the schematic does not drop, you can pet all the animals again to re-trigger the treasure and attempt to loot the schematic.
