Maelie, the Wanderer
A curious and inquisitive doe, she doesn't mean to worry her master, she just gets distracted easily. Especially with all of the new things to see on Korthia.
Acquisition Guide
The Reins of the Wanderer is earned by finding the wandering doe Maelie in Korthia and returning her to her owner Tinybell once per day for six total days, after which Tinybell rewards you with Maelie as a mount.
Talk to Tinybell Daily
Each day, visit Tinybell at Keeper's Respite at 60.6, 21.8 in Korthia. She will initiate the conversation with 'Excuse me, ? Do you have a moment?' — this signals that Maelie has wandered off and you are eligible to find her.
Create a Targeting Macro
Create a macro with /tar Maelie the Wanderer to quickly locate her when you are near one of her spawn points across Korthia.
Search Known Spawn Locations
Maelie the Wanderer can be found at several locations in Korthia — often near cliffs or behind large tree roots. Check these verified spots: at 43, 32.6 — at 49.3, 41.7 — at 50.3, 22.9 — at 39.7, 34.9 — at 61.3, 40.4 — at 30, 55.6 — at 42.8, 60.4 — at 60, 15.2 — at 38.4, 31.4 — at 41.3, 27.5 — at 35, 46 on a chain — at 50, 22 on a cliff — at 41, 39 on a cliff — at 39, 34 under tree roots — at 43, 50 under tree roots — at 33.05, 38.71 down the cliffside looking out across the floating islands — and at 38.5, 31.5 on a cliff shelf, reached by jumping down from the top level. She stays in the same spawn spot for the entire day.
Reassure and Return Her
When you find Maelie, click her to cast Reassure, then immediately return to Tinybell at 60.6, 21.8 in Keeper's Respite. Witnessing Maelie back with Tinybell resets the cycle so she can go missing again the following day.
Repeat for Six Days
Repeat this process for six days total — the Reins of the Wanderer is rewarded by Tinybell on the sixth day after you return Maelie to her.
Tips
Run
/script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(64298)) in-game — if the result is true, Maelie is not available to you that day.If Maelie is already standing next to Tinybell at 60.6, 21.8, she is not out in Korthia and you will not be able to find or interact with her until the next eligible day.
Maelie does not reset every single day — during early 9.1 she was found available roughly every two to three days, so check the quest script before searching.
