Acquisition Guide
The Magmashell mount is obtained by interacting with the Empowered Snail submerged in a lava pool at Scalecracker Peaks in the Waking Shores.
Farm Empty Magma Shell
Kill Lavaslurper mobs on the western side of the Obsidian Citadel at 22.6, 71.6 in the Waking Shores until one drops the 
Empty Magma Shell. Keep this in your inventory before proceeding.
Locate the Empowered Snail
Travel to the lava pool at Scalecracker Peaks at 71.2, 25.4 in the Waking Shores. If the Empowered Snail is not present, wait 25–30 minutes for it to respawn, or join a group via Group Finder to shard into a layer where it is available.
Enter the Lava and Interact
Edge down the tall rock at 71.15, 25.50 toward the lava pool, then jump in and click the Empowered Snail at 71.1, 25.1 at the bottom. This triggers a 20-second cast called Embiggening Snail while you remain submerged in lava, so bring a healer or use the 
Everlasting Horn of Lavaswimming to survive the duration.
Tips
Hunters can use Aspect of the Turtle before entering the lava and will not take damage during the cast — damage also appears to not apply for roughly a minute after obtaining the mount even after Turtle expires.
Rogues can use Cloak of Shadows to avoid lava damage entirely during the cast.
