Acquisition Guide
The Pestilent Necroray is obtained by hatching an 
Oozing Necroray Egg, a rare drop from Maldraxxus Callings, which incubates over 3 days and has a 100% chance to produce one of three Necroray mounts.
Farm Maldraxxus Callings
Complete Maldraxxus Callings to earn 
Tribute of the Ambitious boxes, which have a chance to contain an Oozing Necroray Egg. Running multiple alts through Callings increases the number of boxes you can open — one player reached 185 tributes before their first egg dropped.
Manage Your Egg Inventory
You can only hold one Oozing Necroray Egg in your inventory at a time; if you receive a second egg while one is already in your bags, the additional egg will arrive and hatch via in-game mail instead.
Wait for the Egg to Hatch
The Oozing Necroray Egg incubates into a 
Necroray Egg over 3 days, functioning like a 
Primal Egg, and is then guaranteed to hatch into either the Pestilent Necroray, 
Bulbous Necroray, or 
Infested Necroray.
After Collecting All Three
Once you own all three Necroray mounts, any additional Necroray Eggs you hatch will produce a 
Gilded Slime instead.
Tips
The egg drop rate appears to average roughly 0.5–0.8% per tribute box based on players reaching 130–185 tributes before their first drop, though a rate increase may have been applied at some point reducing attempts needed.
Leveling additional alts to exalted with the Undying Army allows you to run Maldraxxus Callings on more characters, multiplying your weekly tribute box attempts.
