Hulking Deathroc
Deathrocs are stitched monstrosities from the discarded viscera, bone, and organs that were not required to construct soldiers for the House of Constructs.
Acquisition Guide
The Hulking Deathroc is a mount that drops from Violet Mistake, a rare spawn summoned at the Pool of Mixed Monstrosities in Maldraxxus.
Travel to Maldraxxus
Head to the Pool of Mixed Monstrosities at 58.21, 74.23 in Maldraxxus, located in the House of Plagues south of the Plague Watch windrider.
Kill slime mobs nearby
Slay the slime mobs surrounding the pool — red slimes (Burning Extract and Colossal Plasma), blue slime giants (Colossal Goo and Prodigious Animate), and yellow slime giants (Diseased Remnant and Infectious Monstrosity). Each mob has a chance to drop a glowing object on the ground after death.
Collect and deposit objects
Pick up the glowing objects dropped by the slimes — Viscous Oil, Mephitic Goo, and Miscible Ooze — and bring them to the Pool of Mixed Monstrosities at 58.21, 74.23. These objects are not personal loot, so any nearby player can interact with them.
Summon and defeat Violet Mistake
After depositing enough objects into the pool, Violet Mistake will be summoned at 58.21, 74.23. Defeat it for a chance at the Hulking Deathroc mount, which is not a guaranteed drop.
Tips
Avoid farming this mount multiple times per day — player reports suggest the drop rate appears more favorable on the first kill of the day per character.
If the Mixing A Mess world quest is active, randoms in the area frequently interfere with the summoning process, so waiting for that quest to expire makes the farm significantly smoother.
The Hulking Deathroc item cannot be learned until you reach Level 60, even if it drops at a lower level — this is intended behavior.
