Callow Flayedwing
Flayedwings are a necessary force in the cycle of life for the Shadowlands, acting as both prey and predator for the harsh environment of Maldraxxus.
Acquisition Guide
The Callow Flayedwing is obtained by hatching a
Cracked Blight-Touched Egg dropped from Neonates and Galescreamers in Maldraxxus, which takes 5 days to hatch into the mount.
Farm Neonates and Galescreamers
Head to Maldraxxus and kill Neonate Bonetooth mobs at 44, 54. These small mobs have around 17, 000 HP and spawn in clusters east of the Theater of Pain, making them fast to chain-kill in a loop.
Try the Diseased Galescreamer Spot
An alternative farming location is at 57, 71 in Maldraxxus, where a Diseased Galescreamer respawns almost instantly after being killed, allowing for rapid consecutive kills.
Wait for the Egg to Hatch
Once a
Cracked Blight-Touched Egg drops, place it in your bags and wait 5 days for it to hatch into the
Chewed Reins of the Callow Flayedwing.
Tips
After killing a cluster of Neonate Bonetooths at 44, 54, realm-hop to reset spawns, then return to your original shard to continue farming without downtime.
The drop rate is estimated at roughly 0.04% based on recorded attempts exceeding 2,300 kills, so extended farming sessions should be expected.
