Acquisition Guide
Marrowfang is a mount that drops from Nalthor the Rimebinder in The Necrotic Wake on Mythic difficulty.
Enter The Necrotic Wake
Queue for or manually enter The Necrotic Wake on Mythic difficulty. You are limited to one drop chance per character per week, so running on multiple alts is the most efficient way to farm.
Skip Trash Along Walls
Hug the walls and stay at a distance from trash packs to avoid unnecessary pulls — many can be bypassed entirely this way.
Clear All Bosses
There is no way to share a skip ID with alts, so you must fully clear the dungeon every run before reaching Nalthor the Rimebinder.
Defeat Nalthor the Rimebinder
Nalthor the Rimebinder is soloable at max level. Do not use pets such as those from Warlocks, Death Knights, Hunters, or Priests — if a pet is active when he casts Dark Exile, he will continue casting it every subsequent pull until you log out or reset outside the instance.
Tips
Marrowfang can be purchased from other players if one drops in your run, though prices vary.
If Nalthor keeps casting Dark Exile repeatedly, log out for a while or reset the instance from outside to clear the behavior.
