Phalynx of Loyalty
Some within the Ascended keep a phalynx as a pet. While they may not be as furry as a larion, they are much less likely to eat your other pets.
Acquisition Guide
The Phalynx of Loyalty is a Kyrian covenant mount obtained by upgrading your Path of Ascension to Rank 2 and defeating Mad Mortimer on Loyalty difficulty.
Join the Kyrian Covenant
To obtain this mount, you must be a member of the Kyrian covenant and have access to the Path of Ascension covenant feature.
Upgrade Path of Ascension
Upgrade your Path of Ascension to Rank 2 to unlock the Loyalty difficulty, which is the second difficulty tier.
Defeat Mad Mortimer
Enter the Path of Ascension and defeat Mad Mortimer on Loyalty (2nd difficulty). Use Pelagos as your companion, and equip Charm of Fortitude, Charm of Persistence, Charm of Quickness, and a Phial of Serenity. Note that all slimes in this fight share a single health pool.
Use Line of Sight Tactics
When the red slime spawns, use a pillar to line of sight it. The slime will stop moving and begin casting once it sees you, giving you an opening to use Confront Memories and touch the spell haste memory to fire two shots of Test of Faith before it completes its cast, then use Unleash when available.
Visit Binkiros if Needed
Binkiros can be found at 31.4, 47.4 if you need to interact with a vendor related to your Path of Ascension progress.
Tips
All slimes in the Mad Mortimer fight share a single health pool, so damage dealt to any slime counts toward defeating them all.
If double-casting Test of Faith feels risky, you can opt for a different memory to play it safer.
