Acquisition Guide

The Reins of the Elusive Quickhoof is obtained from a rare alpaca spawn in Vol'dun during Battle for Azeroth by feeding it a Seaside Leafy Greens Mix when it appears.

1

Obtain Seaside Leafy Greens Mix

Purchase one Seaside Leafy Greens Mix before heading to Vol'dun — you only need a single one to feed Elusive Quickhoof.

2

Search Spawn Points in Vol'dun

Fly between the known spawn locations across Vol'dun: at 26.4, 52.5at 28, 65at 31.1, 67.3at 42, 60at 43, 69at 51.1, 85.9at 52.5, 89at 54, 83at 54.6, 53.2at 55, 73at 55.6, 67.9 — and at 42.22, 61.51 near the Whistlebloom Oasis. The NPC you are looking for is Elusive Quickhoof with ID 162681. It can be found either patrolling or laying down at these locations.

3

Feed It Immediately

Once you locate Elusive Quickhoof, feed it the Seaside Leafy Greens Mix right away — the alpaca is only available for 10 minutes after it spawns, and its respawn timer is several hours. Any player, regardless of level, can feed it, and you can be in a raid group when you do so.

Tips

  • You can search for and feed Elusive Quickhoof while in a raid group, making it possible to coordinate with others to cover spawn points faster.
