Once the loyal mount of a House Briarbane lord, it turned on the lord and his retinue. Members of House Briarbane now whisper of a dark Gargon lying in wait even baiting venthyr who venture through the darker parts of the Chalice District of Revendreth.
Acquisition Guide
The Hopecrusher Gargon mount drops from the Hopecrusher rare elite in Revendreth, but can only be learned by characters who are level 60 and have chosen the Venthyr covenant.
Travel to Revendreth
Head to the Chalice District in Revendreth, located east of the Charred Ramparts flight point. Hopecrusher is found inside the castle at 51.98, 51.8 in Revendreth.
Defeat Hopecrusher
Engage and defeat Hopecrusher at 51.98, 51.8 — note that this rare casts Enrage, so be prepared for a challenging fight. The mount has a chance to drop from its loot table.
Reset and repeat daily
Hopecrusher is on a daily reset timer, meaning you can attempt the kill once per day. The mount has been reported to drop as late as after 249 attempts, so consistent daily kills are required.
Learn mount at level 60
The Hopecrusher Gargon can be looted before reaching level 60, but it requires level 60 and an active Venthyr covenant to learn. Characters who are not Venthyr will not see the mount appear in their mount journal.
Tips
Hopecrusher is part of the Adventurer of Revendreth achievement, so defeating it also counts toward that progress.
You can loot the mount on a Venthyr character below level 60, but you must reach level 60 before you are able to learn it — see the video guide for a visual walkthrough of the encounter.
