Acquisition Guide
The Child of Torcali is a direhorn mount earned as a quest reward at the end of a multi-day raising chain in Zuldazar.
Find the Baby Direhorn
Locate the baby direhorn in the wild in Zuldazar and complete its quest chain until you receive the achievement-like popup 'Naptime'. The baby will then sleep until you reach level 120; if you are already 120 and nothing happens, log out and back in.
Complete Level 120 Chains
At level 120, complete the quest chains at and for the direhorn. The following day, additional quest chains become available, including ones involving portals.
Head to Warbeast Kraal
If you previously completed quests when you first found the baby but reached a dead end, check your map for the exclamation point marking the quest 'An Unending Sleep' at Warbeast Kraal, then speak to your baby direhorn who will direct you to Beastlord L'kala.
Raise Direhorn to 5/5
Continue the raising process by filling all 5 progress bars on your mini direhorn. This portion of the chain, introduced in patch 8.2, takes approximately two weeks to complete.
Complete Final Quest Chain
Once the direhorn is no longer a baby, complete the final sequence of quests: 'The Trust You've Earned', 'Mountain On the Move', 'Heresy at the Crossroad', and 'The Direhorn Mother's Fury' — during which you use the abilities Charge, Horn Thrust, and Fury of Torcali in that order.
Receive Child of Torcali
Complete the final quest 'Wander Not Alone' to receive the Child of Torcali mount. Note that this mount can also be summoned on Alliance characters.
