Acquisition Guide

The Craghorn Chasm-Leaper is a rare random drop from the Island Expedition end-of-run reward chest, with a higher chance when yetis or Craghorn-type creatures are present on the island.

Run The Dread Chain

Queue for The Dread Chain island expedition — this ice island reliably spawns Craghorn Yetis and yeti-type enemies, which are required to be present on the island for the mount to have a chance of appearing in your end-of-run Dread Chain Salvage chest.

Choose Mythic Difficulty

Higher difficulties, particularly Mythic, are associated with better drop chances for this mount, though it can drop on Normal and Heroic as well.

Kill Craghorn Yetis

Kill the Craghorn Yetis you encounter during the expedition — yetis must be present on the island for the mount to be eligible to drop, and engaging them appears to influence your chances.

Complete the Expedition

Finish the run regardless of outcome — the mount can drop from both a winning and a losing expedition, and it is available at any character level.

Tips

  • On islands other than The Dread Chain, yetis may occasionally spawn inside caves, which still qualifies the mount for the loot table that run.

  • A player also reported obtaining this mount from a Jorundall Salvage chest, so running Jorundall is a secondary option if yetis appear on that island.
