The Surf Jelly is a mount with a random chance to drop from the Island Expedition end-of-run reward chest, obtainable on any difficulty even if the expedition is lost.
Queue for Island Expeditions
Access Island Expeditions through the Adventure Guide or a queue terminal and run expeditions on any difficulty — Normal, Heroic, or Mythic all have a chance to reward Surf Jelly from the end-of-run chest.
Win or Lose Still Counts
A loss still qualifies for the reward chest, so completing the Azerite progress bar and finishing the run is all that is required — Surf Jelly has been confirmed dropping from both victories and losses on Heroic difficulty.
Note the Drop Rate History
Blizzard increased Island Expedition mount drop rates on September 14th, 2018, as the original rates were extremely low — runs completed after that date benefit from the improved drop chance.
