Acquisition Guide

The Highmountain Thunderhoof is the racial ground mount for the Highmountain Tauren Allied Race, awarded to Horde players who complete the Allied Races: Highmountain Tauren achievement by unlocking the race through its prerequisite questline.

1

Purchase Battle for Azeroth

You must own Battle for Azeroth digitally to access the Highmountain Tauren Allied Race unlock. This is required before any other steps can be completed.

2

Meet Reputation Requirements

On any character on your account, reach Exalted with the Highmountain Tribe and complete the Ain't No Mountain High Enough achievement. You also need a level 110 Horde character to complete the recruitment scenario.

3

Travel to Suramar

Speak with Lady Liadrin at 65.9, 63.7 in Suramar to begin the allied race quest chain for the Highmountain Tauren. You can reach Suramar via the Crimson Thicket flight path from Dalaran.

4

Complete Recruitment in Orgrimmar

Head to the Embassy in Orgrimmar and speak with Lady Sylvanas Windrunner at 37.9, 80.9 in Orgrimmar to finish the recruitment process. Once the questline is complete, the Highmountain Tauren race is unlocked and the Highmountain Thunderhoof is awarded to all eligible Horde characters on your account.

Tips

  • This is a Horde-only mount. It will not appear in your mount list on Alliance characters.

  • The reputation and achievement requirements are account-wide, but the recruitment scenario itself must be completed on a level 110 Horde character.
