Acquisition Guide

The Felglow Mana Ray is a Legion mount obtained by hatching a Fel-Spotted Egg dropped from rare mobs on Argus, which cracks open after sitting in your bags for 5 days with a random chance to contain the mount.

1

Track Daily Rare Kills

Use this macro to check which rares you have already killed today: /run for k,v in pairs({Sabuul=48712,Naroua=48667,Varga=48812,Venomtail=48705}) do print(format("%s: %s", k, C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(v) and "|cFFFF0000Completed|r" or "|cFF00FF00Not Completed|r")) end. Each rare can only drop loot for you once per day.

2

Kill Sabuul in Mac'aree

Defeat the rare mob Sabuul at 44.2, 49.8 in Mac'aree. Sabuul has a chance to drop a Fel-Spotted Egg, and the world quest does not need to be active for the egg to drop.

3

Kill Naroua in Krokuun

Defeat the rare mob Naroua at 70.5, 33.7 in Krokuun. Naroua also has a chance to drop a Fel-Spotted Egg, and the world quest does not need to be active.

4

Kill Varga in Antoran Wastes

Defeat the rare mob Varga at 64.3, 48.2 in Antoran Wastes. Varga is the third rare that can drop a Fel-Spotted Egg, again regardless of whether a world quest is active.

5

Wait for Egg to Hatch

After collecting a Fel-Spotted Egg, keep it in your bags for 5 days until it becomes a Cracked Fel-Spotted Egg and can be opened. The egg has a random chance to contain the Felglow Mana Ray, or other mounts and pets such as the Scintillating Mana Ray, Vibrant Mana Ray, Darkspore Mana Ray, Docile Skyfin, Fel-Afflicted Skyfin, or Aged Yolk.

Tips

  • All three rares — Sabuul, Naroua, and Varga — can be killed each day, giving you up to three eggs per day to hatch.

  • The drop rate for a mount from the egg appears to be relatively favorable since multiple mounts and pets share the same egg pool.
