Darkspore Mana Ray
Some of the natural wildlife of Argus, like the mana ray, has survived and adapted to life on the shattered world.
Acquisition Guide
The
Darkspore Mana Ray is a Legion mount that hatches from a
Fel-Spotted Egg dropped by rare elites on Argus, with the egg having a random chance to hatch into this specific mount after 5 days.
Hunt Rare Elites Daily
Kill the rare elite Sabuul at 44.2, 49.8 in Mac'aree, Naroua at 70.5, 33.7 in Krokuun, and Varga at 64.3, 48.2 in Antoran Wastes — each has a chance to drop a
Fel-Spotted Egg, but each rare only yields loot for you once per day.
Track Daily Kill Progress
Use this macro to check which rares you have already looted today: /run for k,v in pairs({Sabuul=48712,Naroua=48667,Varga=48812,Venomtail=48705}) do print(format("%s: %s", k, C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(v) and "124cFFFF0000Completed124r" or "124cFF00FF00Not Completed124r")) end
Wait for Egg to Hatch
Once you have a
Fel-Spotted Egg, wait 5 days for it to hatch — it has a random chance to produce the
Darkspore Mana Ray, or one of several other mounts and items including the
Scintillating Mana Ray,
Felglow Mana Ray,
Vibrant Mana Ray,
Docile Skyfin,
Fel-Afflicted Skyfin, or an
Aged Yolk.
No World Quest Required
The world quest does not need to be active on the map for the rares to be present — visit Eredath, Krokuun, and Antoran Wastes regardless of whether a world quest is showing, as the rares can still be up and killable.
Tips
Rares on Argus can sometimes respawn quickly even without an active world quest shown on the map, so revisiting their locations is worthwhile.
Using an alt character to check if a rare is up can help you find active spawns without consuming your main character's daily loot eligibility.
