Earn Broken Isles Pathfinder
You must first earn the Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two achievement before the quest chain to obtain the Decaying Reins of the Vilebrood Vanquisher becomes available.
Complete Uniting The Isles
Speak to Khadgar in Dalaran and complete the Uniting The Isles quest — no prior reputation or zone prerequisites are required to turn this in.
Visit the Violet Citadel
Head to the Violet Citadel in Dalaran and pick up and turn in the quest found there to continue progressing the Death Knight class hall mount chain.
Complete the Death Knight Scenario
Work through the Death Knight-specific scenario that is part of the 7.2 class hall quest chain to unlock your mount reward.
Note Your Current Spec
The Vilebrood Vanquisher changes color to match your current Death Knight specialization, so equip it while in the spec whose color you prefer.
Tips
If completing this on an alt, you do not need to redo any zone quests or reputations as long as a main character previously completed the Legion requirements — the quest chain unlocks account-wide.
