Acquisition Guide
The Archmage's Prismatic Disc is the Mage class mount earned through a quest line and scenario that begins on the Broken Shore after completing Breaching the Tomb with a Mage character.
Start the Quest Line
Speak to Invoker Threadgold on the Broken Shore at 45, 27 to begin the Mage class mount quest chain. You must have completed Breaching the Tomb on a Mage to unlock this.
Complete the Fire Step
For the Avocation of Antonidas — Burning Within step, talk to Archmage Khadgar in New Dalaran, then travel to the middle of Dalaran and use the teleporter to Karazhan. Find Archmage Alturus outside Karazhan and follow his instructions downstairs.
Complete the Frost Step
For the Chilled to the Core step, use the teleporter to Old Dalaran located in the middle of New Dalaran — use Slow Fall when dropping in. Speak to Archmage Cedric, then defeat Ok'rok Icetouch.
Complete the Arcane Step
For the Close to Home step, talk to Archmage Celindra in New Dalaran, then return to your Mage Order Hall.
Complete the Final Scenario
Enter the Dispersion of the Discs scenario and defeat the fire, frost, and arcane elementals. Vendors in the middle of the scenario area sell food and shield buffs you can use during the fights.
Tips
If you have multiple Mage characters, earning this mount on one Mage makes it available to all your Mage alts.
Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two is required before you can begin this quest chain, so complete that achievement first.
