Acquisition Guide
The Viridian Sharptalon is a Legion falcosaur mount obtained by raising a Sharptalon Hatchling through a multi-week quest chain that begins in Val'sharah.
Kill the Sharptalon Matriarch
Travel to Azsuna and defeat the Bloodgazer Matriarch at 35.6, 5.7 in Azsuna. Killing her causes the orphaned hatchling to spawn nearby.
Buy Azsunian Grapes First
Before interacting with the hatchling, pick up 
Azsunian Grapes from Nalysse Dawnsorrow at 47.2, 41.4 in Azsuna — you will not obtain the pet without the food in your bags.
Adopt the Orphaned Hatchling
Find the Orphaned Bloodgazer at 35.5, 7.5 in Azsuna and feed it the Azsunian Grapes to add the Sharptalon Hatchling to your pet collection.
Level the Hatchling to 25
Level your Sharptalon Hatchling to level 25 through pet battles before you can progress the mount quest chain.
Complete the Quest Chain
Work through the multi-step quest chain with your hatchling summoned, which includes taking it to a named city, defeating 3 Spring Striders, completing 5 World Quests in a specific zone, completing 3 Pet Battle World Quests with the hatchling as primary pet, completing 1 Rare Elite World Quest, defeating 3 specific wild pets, completing 3 PvP World Quests, buying an item in Dalaran for the hatchling, defeating 3 more specific wild pets using the hatchling and 2 pets of a specific family, and defeating a dungeon boss with the hatchling summoned.
Await Daily Quest Resets
Each subsequent quest in the chain becomes available only after the daily reset following completion of the previous quest, so the full chain takes multiple weeks to finish.
Tips
Each quest in the chain can be handed in on one character and the next quest picked up on a different character that has not yet completed it, allowing progression across alts.
