Acquisition Guide
The Warsong Direfang is obtained by opening a 
Rattling Iron Cage, which drops from four rare spawns in Tanaan Jungle during the Warlords of Draenor expansion.
Locate the Four Rares
Travel to Tanaan Jungle and hunt four rare spawns: Doomroller at 47, 52, Terrorfist at 15, 63, Vengeance at 32, 73, and Deathtalon at 24, 40. Each rare can be looted once per character per day, giving you four chances at the cage daily.
Watch Chat for Spawn Yells
Each rare announces its spawn via a chat yell — when Terrorfist spawns near 15, 63, Frogan yells about a massive gronnling heading toward the Rangari Refuge; when Vengeance spawns near 32, 73, Tyrant Velhari yells; and when Doomroller spawns near 47, 52, Siegemaster Mar'tak yells. All four rares share a spawn timer of 1 to 3 hours.
Kill Rares and Loot Cage
Defeat each rare to have a 30% chance of receiving a Rattling Iron Cage. Opening the cage gives a 1 in 3 chance to yield one of three mounts: Warsong Direfang, 
Armored Razorback, or 
Tundra Icehoof.
Position Between All Four Rares
When entering Tanaan Jungle without knowing which rare will spawn next, position yourself centrally between the four spawn locations — roughly between Deathtalon at 24, 40 and Vengeance at 32, 73 — so you can quickly move toward whichever rare yells first in chat.
Tips
Already owning one of the three possible cage mounts does not increase the drop chance for the remaining mounts — each cage open remains a 1 in 3 chance regardless.
The effective drop rate for the Warsong Direfang per rare kill is approximately 10% (30% cage drop multiplied by a 1 in 3 mount chance), and kill counts in the hundreds are not uncommon before the mount drops.
Killing all four rares — Terrorfist, Vengeance, Doomroller, and Deathtalon — awards the Hellbane achievement in addition to the cage loot.
