Acquisition Guide

The Garn Steelmaw is a wolf mount from Warlords of Draenor that has a chance to drop from the Invader's Forgotten Treasure and Routed Invader's Crate of Spoils, earned by completing Garrison invasions at Gold or Platinum rating.

Trigger a Garrison Invasion

From your Draenor Garrison, trigger an invasion from one of the Draenor civilizations. You need to reach at least 1000 points during the invasion to earn a Gold rating.

Earn Gold or Platinum Rating

Reaching 1000 points earns a Gold rating, which rewards the Invader's Forgotten Treasure. Reaching 1300 points earns a Platinum rating, which additionally rewards the Routed Invader's Crate of Spoils — giving you two bags with a chance to contain Garn Steelmaw.

Complete the Weekly Gold Victory Quest

Earning a Gold rating also grants a Gold Victory, which completes the weekly Gold Victory quest and rewards an additional Invader's Forgotten Treasure.

Open Your Reward Bags

Each bag has an approximately 1% chance to drop Garn Steelmaw, and a single bag can drop more than one of the four possible mounts: Garn Steelmaw, Giant Coldsnout, Smoky Direwolf, and Shadowhide Pearltusk.

  • Running the invasion on multiple characters each week multiplies the number of bags you receive, increasing the total number of attempts across your account.
