Acquisition Guide

The Solar Spirehawk is a mount that drops from Rukhmar, a world boss located in Spires of Arak in Warlords of Draenor.

1

Travel to Spires of Arak

Head to the Spires of Arak zone in Draenor, where Rukhmar spawns as a world boss.

2

Defeat Rukhmar Weekly

Locate and defeat Rukhmar — the Solar Spirehawk is a personal loot drop directly from the boss, meaning every player in the group has an individual chance to receive it.

3

Meet the Level Requirement

You must be at least level 90 to be eligible for loot from Rukhmar, so characters below this threshold will not receive any drops.

4

Repeat on Multiple Characters

Rukhmar can be killed once per week per character, so running additional characters at level 90 or above through the kill each week increases the number of attempts you accumulate over time.

Tips

  • The drop rate is estimated by players to be somewhere between 1 in 1000 and 1 in 3000, and Blizzard has since increased the drop chances for this mount during Dragonflight.

  • The Solar Spirehawk is roughly the same size as Ashes of Al'ar and has no extra particle effects when moving.

  • See the video guides for a visual walkthrough of the Rukhmar farming route.
