Acquisition Guide
The Hellfire Infernal, also known as the Fiendish Hellfire Core, is a mount that drops at a 100% rate from Gul'dan in The Nighthold on Mythic difficulty only.
Enter The Nighthold
Travel to The Nighthold in Suramar and set the difficulty to Mythic before entering.
Defeat Gul'dan
Fight through the raid and defeat Gul'dan, the final boss of The Nighthold — the Fiendish Hellfire Core drops at 100% on Mythic difficulty.
Note the Drop Mechanic
The mount uses a per-player drop system similar to the Smoldering Ember Wyrm from Nightbane: each player in the raid has approximately a 5% individual chance to receive the mount, meaning a 10-person group has roughly a 50% chance of at least one mount dropping.
Tips
Because each player has roughly a 5% chance per kill, running the raid with fewer players increases the average number of kills needed per person — solo attempts give the most consistent per-character weekly attempts.
This mount is on a weekly lockout, so each character can only attempt Mythic Gul'dan once per reset; using multiple max-level characters multiplies your weekly attempts.
