Shadowhide Pearltusk
Some legends say the draenei first befriended the elekk after one of the beasts saved an injured scout from a pack of vicious podlings.
Acquisition Guide
The
Shadowhide Pearltusk drops from the
Invader's Forgotten Treasure and the
Routed Invader's Crate of Spoils, both earned by reaching Gold (1000 points) and Platinum (1300 points) respectively during a Garrison invasion in your Warlords of Draenor Garrison.
Trigger a Garrison Invasion
Purchase a Scouting Missive from the Garrison Quartermaster to trigger an invasion. For an easy Platinum score, use the Shadow Council invasion missives — Shattrath Harbor or The Heart of Shattrath — and avoid The Pit (Iron Horde) invasions, which are significantly harder to Platinum solo.
Earn Platinum Score (1300 Points)
Complete the invasion and reach 1300 points (Platinum) to receive both the
Invader's Forgotten Treasure (Gold reward at 1000 points) and the
Routed Invader's Crate of Spoils (Platinum reward at 1300 points), each of which can contain the Shadowhide Pearltusk.
Track Weekly Bag Loot
Each bag is limited to one loot per character per week. Use the following macro to check if you have already looted your bags this week: /run for k, v in pairs({Silver=37639,Bronze=37638,Gold=37640,Platinum=38482}) do print(format("%s: %s",k, IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(v) and "Looted" or "Not Looted Yet")) end
Farm Across Multiple Characters
Because both bags can drop the Shadowhide Pearltusk and drop rates are low — estimated between approximately 1% and 3% per bag — running the invasion on multiple characters each week significantly increases the number of bags you open over time.
Tips
If you fail to reach a higher reward tier in one invasion, you can run another invasion the same week on the same character and still have a chance at the higher tier bags.
Both the Invader's Forgotten Treasure and the Routed Invader's Crate of Spoils can each drop more than one mount per opening, and the same bag can drop multiple mounts at once.
