Acquisition Guide

The Creeping Carpet is a Bind on Pickup ground mount crafted through the Tailoring profession, requiring materials gathered from Warlords of Draenor content.

1

Meet the Riding Requirement

Artisan Riding is required to learn the Creeping Carpet, which costs 5000g with reputation discounts reducing that cost at higher reputation levels.

2

Gather Hexweave Cloth

You need 100 Hexweave Cloth for the recipe. Crafting Hexweave Cloth produces 4 per use at non-max skill and 4 or more at max skill, meaning you will need a maximum of 500 Sumptuous Fur and 200 Gorgrond Flytrap to cover your full Hexweave Cloth requirement.

3

Collect Sorcerous Air

You also need 20 Sorcerous Air, which is a possible byproduct of Warlords of Draenor crafting and is not a guaranteed drop, so quantities obtained will vary based on your proc rates.

4

Craft the Creeping Carpet

Once you have 100 Hexweave Cloth and 20 Sorcerous Air, use your Tailoring profession to craft the Creeping Carpet. Note that the mount is Bind on Pickup and cannot be sold to other players or listed on the Auction House.

Tips

  • The Creeping Carpet cannot fly, even in non-Draenor zones — it functions purely as a ground mount despite being made with Sorcerous Air.
