Join Operation: Shieldwall
As an Alliance player, begin the Operation: Shieldwall campaign quest chain in Kun-Lai Summit. Work through the full chain until you complete the final quest to receive the Grand Gryphon as a free reward.
Claim Your Mount Reward
Upon completing the last quest in the Operation: Shieldwall chain, the Grand Gryphon is awarded at no cost — no reputation grind or gold purchase is required for this specific mount.
Check Your Horde Alts
Once you learn the Grand Gryphon on your Alliance character, your Horde alts on the same account automatically receive the 
Grand Wyvern, so there is no need to repeat the campaign on the opposite faction.
Tips
The
Grand Armored Gryphon is a separate mount purchased at exalted reputation with Operation: Shieldwall for 1, 800 gold, or 1, 600 gold with the guild perk — and its Horde counterpart is the 
Grand Armored Wyvern.
